Today it’s 8 months that Nitro has been a Tripawd! And so far, doing really well. I had a freak-out moment yesterday when I discovered a lump between his front toes. Since he needed his spring checkup anyway, off to the vet we went. She wasn’t too excited about it, but did an aspirate to see what was going on. It showed white blood cells and some bacteria, so she put him on an antibiotics and said to watch it.
By next week he should be starting metronomic therapy and we’ll just go on from there, one day at a time – very doglike.
He also had his chiropractic adjustment today, and he always feels good after a visit with Dr. Patty 🙂
So all in all, 8 months is looking really good!

Your mom does a GREAT job checking you over for lumpies. I’m glad this one isn’t a concern for the vet. Whew!

Happy Hoppy Ampuversary Nitro. I am so glad that wasn’t something major to worry about. Glad you practiced the breathing & being more dog. Way to kick butt Nitro.

It’s crazy, every little bump, hiccup, burp, sneeze sends us humans over the edge on this journey!! And the dogs are looking at us like we’re crazy for flipping out…and they’re right, like always!!
Hope NITRO gets some extra goodies to celebrate this fantastic ampuversary!!! Maybe even a scoop of ice cream!!!
